Springfield Wins Impressively At Girls City Track; Erewele Shows Out

Springfield High claimed the 2016 City Girls Track & Field title, combining for 137.5 points, led by Ozzy Erewele, who won the 100 and 200 meter dash and put together epic finishes in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays to lead the Senators to victories in both races.

Southeast finished in second place, compiling 73 points, followed by Lanphier and Sacred Heart-Griffin. 

Chieme Udaku set a new school record at Springfield in the triple jump and in the 300 meter hurdles, Lauren Fergeson set a new school record in the 300 meter hurdles for the Solons. 

For Southeast, Jamari Drake finished in first place in the high jump, clearing 5'7'' and Alexis Henry claimed first place in the 400 meter dash. The Spartans also tallied a first place finish in the 4×400 meter relay.
